Looting in London- tasks

What is the difference between looting and rioting?
I think the difference between looting and rioting is that looting is based on steeling from stores. Rioting involves different kind of riots like destroying- or burning down buildings for example.

Social exclusion: To have been excluded or “fallen out” of the society. You may not have the rights you are supposed to, for instance.
Disregard social norms: To not respect and not follow the rules a society and a population find appropriate.
High-unemployment: High unemployment means many people that does not a job nor have had it for a while.
Criminologist: A criminologist works with understanding criminal behavior and the connection between crime and society.
Opportunism: Opportunism means to use circumstances egocentrically often without thinking of what is morally right and not taking other people into consideration.
Lack of intervention: If the police, for instance, has a lack of intervention in stopping riots that would mean that the police has not done something about it. Lack of actions for the police.
Consumerism: Consumerism means everything you buy and use.
Catalyst of unrest: Hard to define, but it could mean something like “something that leads to unrest”. If unemployment is a catalyst of unrest, catalyst would be the process between unemployment and unrest.

Could this happen in Trondheim? In Oslo? Why/why not?
This could also have happened in Norway. I feel like this can happen in almost every city if you’re many enough. I don’t think it would have been as big of a thing like it has been in London, though. Trondheim and Oslo are not close to being as big as London and therefore every attempt at things like looting in Norwegian cities would have happened in a smaller tense. But I definitely think riots of some kind have happened in Norway because many people disagree with the government and each other here as well as other places. I think It would have been more likely to happen in Oslo than Trondheim simply because Oslo is bigger.
What can this say about the social conditions in England? How may this be connected to the traditional class system?
This can say a lot about the social conditions in England today. It states in the article that the young, poor youth that is mostly behind the looting has got nothing to loose. This says a lot about the poorest people in the society of England and that they maybe still have got some of the traditional class system left. The poorest ones in the society maybe treated differently and have different rights than “upper classes” of the society.
